REACTIONS TO MR. KIPKORIR'S "ANNEXATION AND SUBDIVISION" OF SOMALIA BY KENYA AND ETHIOPIA HITS RECORD HIGH.....

I am very happy that Somalis found peace in Kenya but I am dissappointed when I hear people like you talk. Arrogance is something we Africans cannot allow because we have all experienced colonialism and we all have troubles as developing countries. Just because your country is functioning does not mean you have the right to judge another so stop this nonsense.

Dear DONALD B. KIPKORIR I am very surprised that a Kenyan like you openly supports annexation. You seem to be very confused and not really enlightened in terms of geo political affairs. First of all I am a Somali who knows that no race in the world is superior as we are all human beings. I therefore feel sorry for everyone who thinks differently. But you should understand that your country has got many socio economic problems which makes it impossible for you guys to even think of annexation.

Your brazen denial to Somalis for the right to comment on your article irrespective of their nationality is mind-boggling. It is a reflection of the discriminatory way you treat ALL Somalis since your independence for no other reason than that they are Somalis and defenceless. Sooner or later Somalia will sort out its problems. Beware, though, Kenya might take its place. The recent inter-ethnic clashes had evealed the depth of the irredeemable hostility among your dominant tribes that has been simmering since independence. When Kenya explodes, Somalia's civil war will look like a tea party sprawl.

waxgarad, even if Kenya is as u claim an artificial country put togather by the anglos, it's still 1000000 times better, despite its short comings, than arab somali which is also an artificial country that has been at war with itself for an eternity, and yes these slaves can put a thorough beating on u!!JUST ASK YOUR SHIFTA BRETHREN!!!

Submitted by iawePosted October 11, 2008 10:03 AM
waxgarad, the confusion displayed in your identity speaks volumes of why that wretched place you call Somalia will never know peace. Calling us (Kenyans) Negroids and other epithets won't change the fact that Somalia exists only on paper. I got news for you, in 20 years time from now nothing will be left of an entity called Somalia if your brothers, sisters, cousines, fathers uncles etc back in Mogadisho persist in these self destruction tendencies.

Your argument, though essentially sensible and acceptable to me, will continue to be be read using the tunnel view. Somalis will scan it for what they want. I am however of the view, that by presenting a lofty argument based on complex abstract reasoning, you open yourself to more ridicule. How do you expect the average somali to even get an idea of what you are talking about? If Somalis are part of your audience, then you should have made your argument simple and basic. Somali intellectuals can be counted with the fingers on my hands

Your piece lacks reason and credibilty. You are quite a stupid Kenyan.Oh and by the way congratulation on new readership.Jk.

Sir, that is how it feels to be called a nigger. It is also how it felt to be called the enemy tribe and to be aimed at with bows and arrows by your community not to mention the evictions. What goes around always comes around. May be you are one of those jounalists who wrote careless and inciting articles before last year's elections. When are we going to leave other people alone just because we think we are worriars and morans.

You just seeking attention and most people know you on khaat (mirra). Keep chewing.

Mr. Donald KIpkorir i think you are one crazy man. It seem to me you have been reading to many neo con news from Bush heartland. Brother before you blame somalis of being anti-kenya first let me tell our fellows kenyans are more anti kenya than we can ever be. The facts is all these idea of nation state is pagan and inhuman institution forced on us by colonialist power.

One thing you dont understand Kip is that Somalis will always be somalis. The passport that they hold is just a document and it does not change anything.

Submitted by legend618Posted October 11, 2008 02:50 AM
I agree with you all the way. This people who criticizes you for standing up for Kenya they should be very thankful for Kenya which has been a take care of Somali interests abroad. I don't see any Arab country coming to the rescue of Somalia any time soon.

Brothers do not annex each other's territories. And, since you hate the Arabs, you should stay away their failures as a good idea. Arab nations attacked Israel at its most fragile condition. Yet, Israel doubled or tripled its Territory by turning the tables on the Arabs. Instead of annexing Somalia, Nairobi may become a Somali capital.

I'm afraid sir, you seem to be a better orator that you are a thinker,People reacted not to the message but the tone of it.Its the same sort of ideas that led Bush to Baghdad. Secondly muslims dont swear allegiance to the ummah but Allah. Research first mate.

Clearly I used to respect the Nation as a credible african newspaper but since i started to read this guy on the nation i wonder what happened to quality. Look man focus on your local politics as your world view is not up to par and u r only but exposing yourself but you clearly cannot compete. your arguments are illogical, incoherent and your evidential support just would ashame our law schools.

The debate of annexing Somalia is long over due. That country, if at all there is any left, is a disgrace to Africa in spite of her situation. I think the idea of annexing Somalia is the only option there is as all other options including the intervention of the mighty powers of the U.S. have failed in that failed state. I condenm the poor Somalis who are opposed to the idea while living lavishly and hiding from the plight of their brethren in foreign countries, shame on them. Something need to be done and fast.

What is Kenya's world view and what are the arab states'? Answer that question then we might understand your deficit in thought. I do hold a kenyan passport and I'm not Somali.

So Somalia annexation is the Next plan,! you Started it, and expect an urgent reaction within the next 7 days, you will feel it in a very personal way,!

Submitted by ZiadMPosted October 11, 2008 12:58 AM
Despite your insistence, your article still stinks of Islam-phobic. It's Somalia's choice to have a caliphate or warload, and it's not Kenya's business to "impose" peace on them. Lest you forgot, Kenya needs to impose peace on part of the world you come from before imposing on others. Did you cross the line of treason by supporting Southern Sudan which i suppose you have a lineage to? The same applies to all Somalis regarless of their nationality. Resisting a bigotry-laced invasion does not constitute a loyalty.

Mapepe kipkoriir, Go ahead no body is stopping you, by the way when your tribesmen and politicians who were killing and calling their Kenyan brothers North eastern was an oasis of peace!! You should be the last one to talk about invading somalia!!! shame on you.

"Somalis’ future thus lies in being one with their cousins in either Kenya or Ethiopia," Somalis future lies in somalis themselves and an end to interference by outsiders! you knw what i mean by outsiders since you come from the rift valley! There are Kenyan somalis , and if you think our future lies with being one with our kenyan "cousins" you better visit north eastern and see it for your self! And about islamic state! none needs to knw your opinion its the somalis to decide what law they should have! isnt that democracy the west talks about!

Submitted by alim0Posted October 10, 2008 10:50 PM
please don't drive a wedge between Kenyans and Somalis. You are using the same hate strategies some people used to promote hatred against the Kikuyu community. Kenya is in deep, deep trouble. No food security, sex driven economy, corruption etc, it will not be long before kenya collapses so sont make fun of somalia

Submitted by waxgaradPosted October 10, 2008 10:36 PM
Donald Kipkorir,I am Somali of Kenyan origin, and I tell you I am more loyal to the lands of somali people than your Bantu, negroid lands! Kenya for me is a artificial country put together by British masters! I welcome you to attack Somalia, just want to see the fighting skills of former slaves of arabs and the British!

Submitted by SJ502Posted October 10, 2008 09:44 PM
You will carry your own cross Kipkorir.Don't drag Kenyans into a vicious verbal exchange with their neighbours. You stirred a hive full of wasps with that article...and them holding passports or living in the other world has nothing to do with us. Let them figure themselves out!

As I commented last week, the good point you had intended to make was lost by your choice of adjectives — your description of Djibouti was overly insensitive. I agree with you entirely that Kenya’s progress will be hampered by a persistently sick Somalia. Let us start by kicking rich warlords out of Kenya so they go back and get a taste of their mess. But I don’t think there is any hope for one country called Somalia [yet I am a known optimist]; they should share it out into several countries — Somaliland has blazed the trail.
