President Kibaki has appointed Ms Mary Ngare as permanent secretary of the Ministry of Northern Kenya and other Arid Lands
Ms Ngare, who is currently the director of administration in the Health ministry, takes the place of former Central Bank of Kenya deputy governor Jacinta Mwatela, who declined the appointment.
