KENYAN GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES KIDNAPPED AND MISSING

Two government Ministry of Agriculture workers kidnapped in Mandera Town are still missing after their vehicle was hijacked by suspected militiamen from Somalia on Monday night.

Mandera deputy police boss Johan Chebi told reporters after a security meeting that Kenyan officials were making efforts to contact interim Somali officials for information on their location although earlier reports indicated the vehicle was in the Gedo region of Somalia, which shares a wide border with Mandera.

The Kenyan Government has lately been accused of not administering it's borders as required while refugees and criminals roam in and out of the country at will.
